Nipped down to pick up a few things this morning, and on checking my reciept, saw i had supposedly purchased a ladies bra for £2. We only had about 10 items, cakes, sweets and a Kiwi foot spray, so G-d only knows how or why it got scanned. Will be an eternal mystery.
Except, this branch is just a food store and they dont sell any clothes, even the cs was dumbstruck!
My dh sorted out the refund and Tesco grudgingly gave us £3 as a goodwill gesture:T

maybe there was a bar code error that meant something was entered wrong? how many items did you actually have?
eg did you have 10 and charged for 10 including the bra
or was it you had 10 and were charged for 11 including the bra?
They sorted it out for you well enough, least you didnt lose out0 -
CS rescanned all the shopping, yes we had charged all the items we purchased, plus the bra as an extra item. It wasnt a barcode error, which is what makes it even more confusing.0

Sometimes this happened when i worked in B&Q it happens when the light hits the bar code reader and it missreads the barcode. Its not a scam or anything like that its just an error with the barcode readers, that i suppose cannot be fixed really coz you cant stop day light!!0

Reminds me of when I worked at Tesco many years ago - my overalls scanned as a pot plant...
. The pattern must have caught the scanner at just the right angle...(either that or it was trying to tell me something...)
