Morning all

Nice bright sunny day again, we have been lucky with the weather these last few weeks, although its quite uncomfortable to sleep at night. Off to work for me today but I am going to hand my notice in this week  Im not quite full with clients yet but I have enough to get by with for now, I am off the first two weeks in August so wont return to work after my holiday  its been a long time coming and I am a bit nervous but its the right thing for me going forward.

Might do the chicken saganaki for dinner tonight we will eat in the garden as its slightly cooler out there under the umbrella. The dw has been emptied this morning and I will see if there is enough washing to put a load on.

Morning all, and thanks for starting us off Red. 

EDIT - 🎉🎉 for your new career. You've been waiting so long for this change. 

My pleading for some sun yesterday worked though not until later in the day, it meandered its way north and the clouds drifted away. Thanks to all who sent some. 😀. Before the sun arrived the air warmed up nicely. All my white washing dried so I did a small coloured wash too. Then I decided to spray a patch of weeds at the gate between me and the farm buildings. My new couches will have to be brought through the big barn, into the garden and then the back door so the wild bit has to go. 

This morning my gardener is coming then later my cleaner, once they've gone I'm going to visit a friend to help her with a techie thing - at least I hope I can. 

Keep cool everyone, the heat will be intensive down south. Here it may get warm again. 😀

Off to the house today for a few days for project get serious! No news on the weekend viewings yet but I’ll speak to the EA today and see where we are. Ive mostly packed shorts as this week looks like a scorcher. 

I’ve ordered a Morrisons delivery to keep me going with food and a load of bin bags and cleaning stuff. Also got an amazon delivery with boxes, tape and poppy wrap to make a start on clearing the cupboards. Hoping to take an extra walker over depending on the grumpiness scale of the taxi man which I’ll then somehow get upstairs. 

Knowing me today will be mostly list making but no excuse from then on

Food tonight will be a prawn salad. Going to be very strange staying there, mum was never big on overnight visitors so since they moved there in the 90s I’ve never slept over

Morning all; going to be scorching here today.

I'm up reasonably early with the idea of getting things done before it gets too hot but I have lots of bitty things to do today so that plan might not happen. Some of it depends on if DH tests negative today, in which case I can go and pick DGS up from pre school tomorrow and do some child care at his house. 

Was out quite early yesterday and had a 3 mile walk, mainly in the shade, and that, together with more sensible eating, has moved the scales back down again, so am pleased about that. I think I was snacking out of boredom for a few days; too many ice creams, cake, chocolate etc.

Dinner today will be chicken and salad, eaten in the garden.

Morning everyone good luck in your new job RR enjoy your time off work.going to be in for another scorcher here I went from sitting in the shade to sitting in the house shouldn’t complain but I burn like a cinder these days .I am meeting my friend for an hour this morning for a catch up and a cuppa not at work until 12 . Thanks for all the advice everyone on buying a kitchen and I did manage to get one yesterday with a hefty discount happy with what I paid it doesn’t get delivered until beginning of September but that gives us time to get my sons wedding out of the way and before the bad weather starts all ready for Santa .I have taken a piece of salmon out for me tonight hubby will be having sausage he wouldn’t eat anything as exotic as salmon new potatoes and salad peas for him but all simple enough.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning! sunny...miscommunication beteen me and the car guy. He removed the dash cam but he thought that was it, I thought he was installing it in the other one, we eventually didn't cross porpoises and it's booked in for the end of July. This time though, I may get a more elegant solution for the reverse camera, he might be able to integrate it better. Fetched some tiles, foisted a plant and some seeds on the lady of the house, had a nice chat, revised timeline of fetching tiles. I can make a start on finishing it off this morning before it's too hot. I planted out all the plants in pots that didnt have a home and the new ones, some of them have instantly loved it and the garden looks more attractive now. And there are less pots out the back. Rest of the day, who knows, I have a few things to get started, most notable some sewing but I'm waiting for some tissue paper to trace patterns.

Nels, hope the news is even better this mornng. Time seems to slow right down when you're selling a house when you're waiting to hear this or that..Cake = good....Gers, you go Mrs IT Expert Ruby, that's fantastic news! That's something to look forward to! TA, thank god that's finally come! Hope she'll be picking up her car in no time..Scarlet, happy holiday preparation...Coxy, hope you're holiday is going well... Take care all, drink water, languish like ladies.....too hot for anythng else...:)

Morning folks and thanks RUBY.  And well done on finally getting to the stage of telling them what to do with their job! Crikey but it's hot already and the local forecaster tells us we can expect a high of 28 deg today! The plants will all to be watered again tonight I think!

It's another brought forward Tuesday coffee 'n lunch meet with BFF this morning. On the strength of DD finally getting her car today and taking me to the van tomorrow. Watch this space on that!

I have some washing to peg out next and something light to get out to defrost for my tea. Someone else can do the cooking in this heat at lunch time!

I've hung out a load of towels even though it's still very overcast here, and not even as warm as yesterday morning. There is more of a breeze so that may dry the towels. 

Nelski - good luck in your endeavours this week, it's never a fun job so I hope that you can give yourself little treats along the way.

TA - my fingers are crossed for your DD.

WL - I had a feast day yesterday so back on the food wagon today, it just takes one small thing to throw me off track.

Izzy - a new kitchen is exciting, well done you.

Morning everyone
I've had a lovely weekend with DD and little one - she was so excited to be on holiday that it didn't matter at all that we were just 5 minutes up the road! The weather has been so unlike our usual north-east weather and we spent a lot of yesterday at the outdoor pool - we could have been anywhere! Little one was in and out of the paddling pool and I sat on the side and played with her - it was a lovely day. DD brought me home at teatime and I spent the next couple of hours sitting in the garden, before giving the plants a good soaking. Little one had a few sunflowers which have died so I'll go along to Homebase tomorrow to see if I can get replacements.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads for an hour before work - only 2 weeks now till we break up....hope the weather lasts for the school holidays.
Better get moving - hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all dog walked and fed early and WM is on going to be a scorcher again today yesterday was interspaced with going upstairs and laying on the bed with the fan on today may well be the same have been wearing just a beach cover up round the house  and its  set to get even hotter I did speak to DH about getting air con for the bedrooms we will see

I had a break from social media last week but I have been skimming the thread (I know, I know, that's not a complete break).

Ruby, I am so glad you can leave your present job, the best of luck with the new endeavour.

taff, I scoffed a bit when Steve wanted to install a dashcam but I had to eat my words when I had someone run into me at a roundabout and drive off. It showed all the details of the number plate and showed clearly that I wasn't at fault. A friend in a similar situation only had a front camera and the insurance people told her they were sharing the blame!

Apparently our car is now repaired but we are in Wales with the hire car so they will have to wait.

Nelski, I'm glad you have had an acceptable offer, fingers crossed that someone comes back with a better one.

The weather is beautiful here in Pembrokeshire but thankfully slightly cooler than at home. The walls of the house are so thick that I am having to wear a cardigan inside at times.
