Libre Office Calc - make a cell manually updatable only

In a Libre Office Calc spreadsheet, when you copy and paste a whole row, it copies and pastes all of the cells.

Is there an easy way to stop it copy/pasting one particular cell, so that it's contents are blank when pasted?

I want to update that cell manually after the copy/paste operation.

Thanks.

Highlight the row then use ctrl-left click the cell you don't need perhaps?

Hmmm. I've just tried that and things go weird. The cells after the left click one seem to come to the left and the whole pasted row is rearranged.

I was hoping that there was a way to make the particular cell updatable by manual only, not by copy and paste.

Updating it manually after c&p will overwrite whatever was pasted. Is that adequate?

Yes of course. It's not a big problem, more of a curiousity really. I just thought it would be handy being able to set the cell to be not included in the copy/paste.

You could write a macro to do it. Although, depending on how often you do it, that's probably more effort than it justifies

Ok, let's close this one. Thanks for all the replies. It was just a curiousity.

I'll continue just copy and pasting then deleting the appropriate cell afterwards. Cheers.
