App for tracking house renovation budget

We’re about to begin renovating our new house which needs a lot of TLC. For inspiration we’ve been watching George Clarke’s Flipping Fast and they talk about using an app to track their spending against their budget.
Has anyone used one of these? We’ve got an excel spreadsheet but I know I won’t remember to put everything in, an app that did some of the work for me and was always in my hand would be the dream.

There is Excell app and the file can be stored in Google Drive or similar to be accessible from phones, tablets and PCs.

I do exactly this. I use the numbers app on my macbook and phone to track spending. I can't imagine any app being better than a spreadsheet for this purpose as I can put in quantities for the same item, so buying the same paint again I can just tally it up, set the formulas for total as I want them, break it down per room if I want etc.grumbler said:There is Excell app and the file can be stored in Google Drive or similar to be accessible from phones, tablets and PCs.0
