So I get odd thing from them - but have not gone down prime path....concerned if as easy to cancel as it seems! and whether apart from delivery cost is it worth it.
Ad for Prime day are everywhere and I have wanted to purchase crock pot from them - but will its price drop during Prime days and will I really be able to cancel free month.
I am not interested in Prime music, books tv etc.
Several years back get getting spam calls re charging and saying to contact this number to cancel.....so I have had negative ideas about it

1) In my opinion yes, but it depends on what value you get from it
2) Yes.
The price of the crock pot may or man not drop during Prime days and yes, you can cancel at any time.1 -
You get spam calls about prime whether you are a member / ever used Amazon or not !Yes it is easy to cancel, probably easier on a computer rather than a mobile device as the app can sometimes be hard work.Non prime only seems to add a day to delivery times, the only real benefit is under £20 orders.Prime day does seem to have some good offers but they seem to be much the same as they offer throughout the year even to non prime members.2

I occasionally take up a free prime membership offer if I'm buying something or just want to catch up on some of the TV content.I just then give notice and it runs through to the end of the free month.1

Additionally they are the one service I've used that are very willing to cancel after the free month and give you back what you might have been charged for the second one. As long as you haven't continued to use the service of course.
I've had this happen twice now - once with Amazon Prime in the UK and also in Canada. Same good service. I take up the free offer to buy something as a one off, leave it running while I wonder about the other things I've seen but not ordered, forget about it all until I see I'm charged £7.99 or whatever and then let them know I meant to cancel. Because I haven't purchased anything after the first item, nor used their TV service, they always have given me the money back very quickly and without quibbling.
Lots of companies could learn from this level of service - though I expect, knowing Amazon, it's probably all automated.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. It is a very clever business model. You pay a subscription which encourages you to use them more often. Having said that, I subscribe and as a family we use it a lot. The prime TV also has some good content occasionally.
Kind Regards,

Sorry to say I'm NOT really impressed with Prime.
Hubby did the free trial the other week for the Le Mans 24 and forgot to cancel it gggrrr hubby! So we had Prime for 1 month. I found things to watch but only one season and that was it, then they had cancelled the next season! My hubby cancelled Prime the day the first £7.99 went out in June and had a confirmation email to confirm cancellation and guess what, they have taken another £7.99 yesterday!
So he has now got to contact them for a refund today...which can take 7-14 days,,,,but lets wait and see. Its been going on for years apparently, as I've been looking at other posters on other sites this morning. Maybe this is in the hope that people don't check their bank statements and its easy money for Bezos...no wonder hes so rich!
So, I'm sticking with Disney and Netflix, easy to watch and cancel and no extra payments have ever been taken from these guys! I only ever use them once a montheach, to keep the costs down and only if there is something we all want to watch.1
