This is my data since July 2011.. PVGIS is surprisingly accurate (Grey bar/ Line)

My real life savings over winter are a TOU tariff so can charge my batteries inexpensively, with load shifting and some simple sensible usage management my import at peak rate is minimal even in winter.  For example I will try to avoid baking while using the washing machine.

I also heat my living area using my ASHP (A/C) so my gas usage is primarily cooking on the hob.  I am seriously looking at an electric hob.. if I did that I could probably have my gas turned off.

I'm impressed with all your graphs showing multiple year's data. Do you compile them yourself or does your PV system provide the data in that format?

The above are provided by SMA.. although I have a spread sheet that I can update manually, created when I lost the connection for a few weeks.

what are people's longest non generation periods?
The only time my panels haven't generated anything at all (during daylight hours) is after heavy snow - nothing was generated until the snow had melted

As always thank you for sharing, I love looking over stats, can't wait to have enough of my own to sure with others.

Winter might not be as bleak as I first thought, with current outgoing prices being bonkers I should be able to smooth out the big winter hit.

You can see our generation here for our 3kWp system

    http://solar-panels-review.321web.co.uk/index.php/yearly-comparison-of-solar-pv

Over the winter months the generation is pretty low so we can use almost all of it with our base load.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

@jimjames Thanks for that link, my system was only installed in March so I've only seen the good days so far. Always interesting to get an idea of how winter might be.
