I couldn’t find a topic for this, sorry. I’m really hoping for advice. I paid a bill to a company in Armenia in January and it went through ok. In may I had to pay another bill for a larger sum. The money has only just got back to me now. If I pay the bill again I will pay 400£ more due to currency changes. The person I dealt with gave me a bank account with a digit missing the second payment but gave me an intermediary bank to go though. My bank hsbc said they don’t use these intermediary banks when they are out of Europe. So I didn’t. I am really fed up about the amount of money I’m going to have to pay because of this mistake. The person who gave me the wrong account number says it’s because I didn’t use the intermediary but when I asked her for the correct bank account she gave me the first account number not the second. I don’t know what to do please can someone help

I'm not clear on your issue, but essentially you'll pay the exchange rate in force at the time of making the payment, not an earlier or later one.0
