Coxy11 my youngest DGS Mikey is flying off to Cyprus tomorrow with 5 of his pals, they have lost three days of their holiday as Easy jet cancelled their flight for wednesday of this week. So fingers crossed he will be OK tomorrow. His friends Grandpa has a villa out there that he is letting the boys have for a break before they all go off to Uni. Bless him I think he's brave doing that ,but the boys are sensible chaps so fingers crossed all will be well.
The weather is glorious here on the IoW, and this morning at 7.00 I was sitting on the decking verandah just looking at the ships passing and watching the sea. Its a tough life, but someone has to do it
We have kept the Tv off as long as we can,
as there is far too much guff being spouted at the moment, and it will only go on for the tennis.
Hope everyone is keeping well and birthday greetings to those celebrating, and hugs to the poorlies.
Take care and stay safe everyone

Morning all going to be a lovely day so instead of going to get DD2 some bits for her hospital bag i am staying at home to do some washing . Dog has been walked and fed . Yesterday was spent searching flights to Fort Lauderdale for next March and then hotels for before and after our Panama Canal cruise i managed to get a good deal so am happy but boy the hotels know how to charge still its something we are unlikely to do again.
Coxy Have a wonderful holiday
Jackie sounds like you are enjoying your favourite place
Gers The hotel sounds like a little gem enjoy your lunch

Morning
Great news from the Nelski house. Got an offer on mums house £3k more than the asking price FTB who has lost out on a few houses so is keen.
The extra will nicely cover most of the fees. the EA recommended I decide on Monday as they have more viewings over the weekend.
Makes next week clear out a bit more important than the faffing I have been doing but the thought of eventually not having to go over again makes it worthwhile.
Today I planned as a total mindless day but haven't stopped since I got up
Think Ill have a wimbledon afternoon and a picky tea
Hugs to all for a good Friday

Afternoon all, sun, what sun? None here yet, perhaps later. Enjoy! I have got some washing out though.Brilliant news Nelski!Coxy enjoy Cyprus.I went into town again this morning to return a dress I got for DGD, but they only give a credit note and didn't have a different size. I might be better taking her in when she's on school hols. We have to pick up DGS from school and take him to their summer fair. Hope DH knee is up to the pace, it is slowly getting easier but not right yet. Tea will be late as we have to deliver him to DS house afterwards. Meat pie for the men, not sure about me.Hope you all have a good weekend x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10

Afternoon all. Another sunny warm day - that's two in a row
- but feeling more comfortable, thanks to a gentle breeze.
I did kitchen stuff early this morning before the sun came around and have cooked the chicken thighs and made a carrot cake to fill up the oven. There's enough chicken meat for a fakeaway curry for tomorrow and some left over for "something" - haven't quite decided yet. Then I did a bit more wall washing before moving into the living room that doesn't get any sun until about 4'ish. I've done next week's meal plan and have revised my shopping list for next Tuesday's delivery. No less than 7 items have gone up in price since I first did the list - grrr - so some things have been changed. As to whether I get them or not, well, that remains to be seen.
Good news on the house Nels.
Happy holidays Coxy.
Well done on any weight losses to those trying, no matter how small.
Get well soon wishes to the poorlies, stay safe and take care. xBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
