Good evening
I am unsure what to do here - what are other British Gas customers doing? Or any general advice please
I have read all the MSE info but my head is spinning and I cannot get my head around it all, at all - our current plan ends in july (£1063 annually)
Current fixed plan ends in July (have been paying £1063 per year) - and we have been given the below options:-
either fix again or go on the standard tarriff?

Guys what are you all planning on doing? are you going on standard tarriff, or fixing again

If they are still offering you that deal it is one lots have taken and was one to seriously consider.

It says it's £677.44 more than the default tarrif. The default tarrif in October is going to be near £3000 certainly by January imho. I have fixed on very similar rates to the fix you are being offered. I would fix if it was me asking the question. 👍1

I think that I would probably take it if I was offered it.1

Blimey its a bit of a moot point now, as i have clicked on it to sign up, and they have closed the offer - very strange, they only sent me the email two days ago. I didnt know they could just pull the offer that quickly

2 days seems to be a lot in the current market.
If you seriously consider a fixed tariff you should sign on, and than start to looking at it in detail (assuming they have a cool off period)0
