Halifax Clarity £20 Cash Back

I organised a Halifax Clarity card in May (2022) so that I could take advantage of the favourable terms, plus the added 'bonus' of a £20 cash back when I first used it; as noted on the MSE site. Last month (June 2022) I spent around £300 when I went to Majorca on holiday. A few days ago I received my first statement and was surprised to see no £20 credit. I tried to sort it out on-line to no avail. Next, I phoned the customer services helpline. On the first two occasions I was cut off, after long waiting times 'in the queue', as soon as I asked about the £20. Perhaps it was too tricky a question! The third time I was informed that I had to spend £1000 within 90 days. However having done my homework I know that this is a different Halifax Credit Card account. After further conversation the guy I spoke to went off to check the situation.
The final response: It can take 180 days before this will be credited to my account, so if I do not hear anything by the end of October, it was suggested I should phone back and enquire. Hardly good service, to say the least. Now I know £20 is not a fortune, but these days we all have to watch every penny. Perhaps Halifax are hoping I will forget about it. I can assure them I will not!
So, this is a 'Heads Up' for anyone else who has taken out one of these cards expecting £20 cash back from their first purchase. Make sure you get it; or, perhaps someone has already received theirs. I would be very interested to know.

Was this not stated in the Terms and Conditions when you signed up for the card ,i would be suprised if not.

The MSE link in the weekly email states 90 days from first purchase, it's not impossible MSE got it wrong and the actual terms were different but that is what it stated hence what OP believed. OP obviously needs to read the Ts & Cs to see what the actual offer is
