Renting for the first time from July 1st. Can I claim the £150 council tax refund?
My son and his girlfriend moved out into rented accommodation.on July 1st. Can they contact the council and claim the £150 council tax rebate to help with energy bills? The property is Band A.
(I'm sure I saw something on MSE a few days ago, that there was a special fund for people like my son, but I can no longer find it.)

No, the £150 were for the person who was renting/owning the property on the 1st of April.
In any case most likely somebody received already the £150 the property.0 -
If they were paying Council tax on 1st April 2022 on a property then yes.

Irritating. I was in a Band E property (living in a city) in April, but now in one at much less.
I'm renting, have always rented, own nothing and not happy. Yet just because ALL properties in that area were E and above, I get nothing. Bah.0
