I still think it unwise to appoint joint executors who are estranged from each other, we get a a lot of threads on here involving major issues with sibling executors. The will may be clear and unambiguous but if one executor refuses to carry out their duty and won’t renounce their powers it  is going to cause the other great difficulties and possible great expense if they have to take legal action to remove them.
