BALSAM HILL UK'S CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND GIVEAWAY 2022 OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to all residents of mainland UK and Ireland. Do not proceed to enter if you are not at least eighteen (18) years of age and a legal resident of, and located within, mainland UK and Ireland at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and their family members (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household of such employees are ineligible. All national and local laws and regulations apply. Void outside of mainland UK and Ireland and where prohibited. The Sponsor may report, as required by applicable statute or regulation, the value of the prizes and the identity of the winners, to appropriate taxing authorities.

AGREEMENT TO RULES

By participating, the participant (“You”) agrees to be fully bound by these Official Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

CONTEST PERIOD

The Balsam Hill UK's Christmas Wonderland Giveaway 2022 ("Contest") entry submission begins at 8.00am GMT on 1 July 2022 and ends at 11.59pm GMT on 22 July 2022 ("Contest Period"). The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest. Entries received beyond the Contest Period will be void. 

Winner announcement will be published in the comment section of Balsam Hill UK Facebook and Instagram Page on 23 July 2022.

HOW TO ENTER

The Sweepstakes will use “Gleam” as its official Sweepstakes App. Multiple entries are allowed.

The submission of this entry form constitutes one entry. Using Gleam, participants may earn additional entries (with a maximum of 51 entries, inclusive of the submission of the entry form), by performing any of the following actions. Actions are completed through the Gleam app, where participants can click on any of the entry actions and will be directed on how to complete it.

Entrants may submit a total of fifty (50) entries during the Sweepstakes Period. Entries received from any person or Facebook account in excess of the stated limitation will be void.

You may only use one Facebook account to enter this Sweepstakes. Multiple participants are not allowed to use the same Facebook account. Each participant in the Sweepstakes must be the rightful owner of the Facebook account or have authorised use of the e-mail address connected to the Facebook account. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the winner submitting an entry, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the Facebook account is opened. The Facebook account must be opened prior to the commencement of the Sweepstakes. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorised account holder. In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected entry or entries will be deemed ineligible. The Sponsor shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Sweepstakes, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability of any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or unauthorised access to, or alternation of entries.

No automated entry devices, bots and/or other programs and/or software are permitted for entry. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose entry or entries appears to have been the result of mechanical reproduction or other violations of these Official Rules.

LIMIT

Participants can only win once.

 

Participants may only use one (1) e-mail address to enter this Contest. WINNER SELECTION/DRAWING

 Two (2) winners will be determined and announced twenty-four (24) hours from the end of the Sweepstakes Period. Winner will be determined by random drawing by an authorised representative of the Sponsor from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. All decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Except as specifically provided herein, the prizes are guaranteed to be awarded. The Sponsor may report, as required by applicable statute or regulation, the value of the prizes and the identity of the winners to appropriate taxing authorities. Prizes will be awarded to a winner only if she or he fully complies with these Official Rules.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Potential winners will be notified via Facebook announcement and private message or e-mail and will be required to complete and return a Certificate of Eligibility within seven (7) days of date of notification or alternate winners may be selected from valid entries received. If the winner fails to return the required document within the specified time period, cannot be contacted, is ineligible, has been disqualified, fails to respond or claim the prize within seven (7) days from the time award notification is sent, or where the prize or prize notification returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and, at the Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be selected.

The Sponsor shall have no liability for the winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for the winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.

Two (2) winners will be chosen and the Sponsor will award the winners either of the following Balsam Hill artificial Christmas trees depending on their availability:

Total retail list value of all prizes shall not exceed £1,558.00. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by the Sponsor.

Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prizes (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By accepting the prizes, the winner agrees to the release or his or her name, picture, image, likeness, and statements about the Sweepstakes for potential publicity purposes, where permitted by law.

RIGHTS GRANTED

Except where prohibited, You understand and agree that Your participation in the Contest constitutes Your consent to the Sponsor’s, and its agents’ right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and worldwide, without limitation, Your entry, name, picture, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering, You agree that the Sponsor and its affiliates, agents and promotion agencies, as well as Gleam, shall not be liable for any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from the winner's participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession, use, or misuse, of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, privacy or defamation.

 

The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to You or any other person, or to Your or any other person's computer or telephone equipment relating to or resulting from entering, participating in or downloading materials or software in connection with this Sweepstakes or for any computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, late, lost, damaged, stolen, or postage-due submissions or prize notifications; or for lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet service providers, websites, or other connections; or for miscommunications, failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions; or for any technical malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors of any kind or nature; or for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or those found to be acting in violation of these Official Rules.

 

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or otherwise violates any of the rules of the Sweepstakes.

PRIVACY

Email addresses submitted for this Contest will be used to contact the winner and be included in our mailing list, unless the participant has opted to unsubscribe to our mailing list to receive newsletters and special offers. Email subscribers may unsubscribe at any time.
