I have a problem with my banking app.

I live in Malta. I used to be able to pay my utilities online with my Cashlink card from Bank of Valetta. Now, because of all these money laundering vermin, they've added another layer of security. Bearing in mind I'm getting on a bit and my aging brain can't take in all this tech stuff being thrown at us aimed at younger brains I managed to download the BOV app. It says scan my card or enter the details. I can't scan the card because I have to come out of the BOV app to do so. When I go back in I'm starting over. So I enter the card number, the expiry date and lastly the 3 digit security number. I press continue and it sends me a 4 digit security number to the same phone which I can't read because it's a message. So I have to come out of the app, get the code and go back into the app where I have to start over again. I enter the 4 digit code but it is superceded by another code the idiots have sent.
My phone is a Blackberry Curve 8520 which I got because it has a physical keyboard and my fingers can't cope with a digital one.
I know it's highly unlikely anyone can help and I'll have to go into the bank but because of Covid staff levels are down and I'll have to stand with my dodgy knees for ages as all the seats will be taken.
Thanks for listening to my semi-rant.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

If the above does not help you it might be worth getting a cheap second phone purely to accept incoming messages  for things like that two factor authorisation you are describing. Nothing fancy or smart but one that will accept a message.
I do something similar when using my tablet for web sites or apps that loose data or close when you switch away from them though I have to add that it is rare these days.

When I get a text message with a code I can write the code down and then enter it into the app without trying to flick from one app to another.
