Problem with Paypal

Hi guys! I hope you can help me.

My Paypal account has been hacked and I had 12 unauthorized transaction. (almost all of them were like 20 GBP).
Have contacted paypal by phone, they refunded 3 transactions from 12, almost straight away.

Then I contacted them about remaining transactions, send letters, made like 20 calls, was bouncing from department to department, and still don't have this money, moreover there is no ticket reference or something in my paypal, so I don't even know if they are working on it.

Is there anything I can do about it? Is there any organisation that could help me?

Best regards

Did you have two factor authentication enabled? Did you get the code by text?

It almost certain they would have gained access because you used the same email and password combination on another website, which is why many sites text a code to use in addition to the password.
If that was in place and PayPal didn't stop access to the account you need to state that as the reason why you want the refund. However if you didn't have two-factor working, its harder to prove that PayPal are at fault.

Although PayPal do state that they should compensate you within one business day Paypal User Agreement - PayPal UK

Have you also tried reporting online instead of the phone? How do I report potential fraud to PayPal?

You could also try a chargeback via your bank, or tell your bank it was fraud and get them to recover the funds.

Would depend on how OP's bank acc is linked to PayPal. Card then yes. if payments are taken via DD then NO. There is no claim on the bank.
