After getting whacked by atm fees in Spain recently can anyone tell ne the cheapest way to withdraw cash there.I hace Starling, Chase,Santander 123, plus loads of credit cards! Santander wanted to charge me €7 at one of their atms in Spain.Eventually, i used my daughters Caxton pre paid card which was fee free - although the rate was lower.

Something wrong if a Santander branded ATM wanted a usage fee from your Santander 123 debit card.Any other card would incur the 7 Euro fee.I believe there would be an ATM fee for using the Caxton card - they are not exempt the providing bank ATM charges.0

I've never had an ATM charge me in France however I've not been there for 3 years so things may have changed.
