I would also say that the lack of pool and change of location would constitute a major change. However note the T&C's state "change of accommodation to a lower category" I would expect they would argue that lower category would be star rating and/or TUI rating.
That quoted wording is only an example of a major change, in a list headed by 'such as....', and in any case Ts & Cs can't override statutory provisions, so I'd still contend that the PTRs schedule (including 'main features' as well as location and tourist category) should be regarded as more definitive.

I had a quick look at TUI hotels available online for Lassi.
There are 7 on offer, all with pools, varying star gradings.
What prompted them to suggest alternative 4 star accommodation without a pool is baffling - and the OP was justified to reject the switch.
Not difficult to understand why TUI would pull it from their portfolio - would be interesting to know its name.

There's Spasmata, 3km down the coast.  Could have been something there.

It's all speculation without knowing the specific hotel in question.

My point was that there are plenty there that have "Spa" in the name, because it's Spasmata.

Are you aware of any 4 star hotels in the area, that have no pool, regardless of what's in the name ?

Thought had crossed my mind fairly early on.

No.  You could look yourself if you are interested.  I just gave one extra possibly useful piece of information should anyone wish to.  Why are you taking it as some kind of personal insult?

No insult taken. Apologies if you've assumed so.
Just asking if you knew of a 4 star hotel in the Lassi area that had no pool.
All seven of the establishments shown in the TUI portfolio have a pool, including the 2 star rated "Small and Friendly" options.
