How long are people waiting for travel insurance claims at the moment?

I put in a Covid related claim in May and was told it would take up to 30 days for them to review everything and not to contact them as it might cause further delays. I've not heard anything since and it's been about 8 weeks now. Is it worth chasing them up yet to see if anything's wrong or is this just standard at the moment?

No doubt they'll be dealing with a high volume of claims - but that's not your problem.Give them a call and point out that you waited twice the stated 30 days for a response.1

Validating medical evidence almost certainly requires a person to be involved.1 -
thanks - I did give them a call - was on hold a long time. They reassured me they haven't lost my claim and that it is due to be looked at this week. They couldn't tell me whether I needed to give them anything else. So we shall see....0

Update - in case anyone is interested - received a payout yesterday - so about 9 week wait.1
