Hi all,
I am starting to stock a craft supplies shop and I am wondering whether people would buy unbranded items.
Card blanks ,same weight but no brand name, dies again unbranded..
I don't want to stock expensive items if people are quite happy to purchase unbranded.. obviously unbranded would be cheaper...
I know I am selective on what I purchase to use ..
Also. what would you want from a local shop? which craft supplies?
All suggestions welcomed
Thank you

I happily buy unbranded but the only trouble with this is if you sell your craft goods, you don't know what the rules are / angel policies and some products would need to be acid and lignin free for paper crafting. You'll also need to make sure that they aren't practically replicas of branded products as legally that wouldn't be allowed.
Card blanks, red liner tape, double sided tape, a good PVA/water mix glue, scissors, paper/card trimmers would be part of the essentials.
Dies, papers, alcohol markers, toppers, decoupage, embellishments and stamps are also a good addition.
I know plenty of people that will buy at The Works or The Range to have cheaper products, so might be worth comparing.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.1 -
I don't mind buying unbranded craft items, but I would love it if the shop sold a wide variety of colors and types of paper. It's also important to me that the shop has a good selection of paint and brushes. As long as they're reasonably priced and have a good variety, I'll be happy.
I wish you lots of luck!1 -
Ink pads, if you are selling stamps. Pearlescent paints/glues/card? Scissors with that are really sharp-pointed, for cutting out. Cutting mats. Rulers. Possibly keep one or two steel straight edges. Magnets for holding acrylic stamps (or possibly the paper. I'm not sure, but my mother was a artisan card-maker and she had them by the bucket load). Pencils and rubbers including putty rubbers and some pencil sharpeners. Envelopes, at least the common sizes, f they don't come with the card packs.Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
