Ticketmaster - unable to get refund for cancelled gig

If you are getting nowhere with Ticketmaster in getting a refund for a cancelled gig - is it Trading Standards you complain to?
They have said they have refunded the bank account (credit card) which was closed 2 years ago. The bank saying they haven't had payment - which I have raised a complaint against as well. I am owed £145 and getting nowhere. Back and forth with Ticketmaster's poor customer service. Back and forth with Virgin Credit Card (it was Yorkshire).
Appalling customer service from both.

If Ticketmaster have refunded the payment to the card account that paid, they have done all they are obliged to do.
You'll have to get the receiving bank to find out where it is being held.
They are the people to be chasing.

I hope that complaint is with the bank not Ticketmaster !
All they can do is tell you and the bank where they sent the refund, it'll be in a holding account somewhere.0 -
Have TM given you the refund ID? (I'm sure there must be some form of reference for the refund - get that and use it in your complaint with the bank/card provider).
If this was a closed credit card account (do you still have a financial relationship with that provider?) then the funds may be sitting in a holding account/black hole whereby nobody knows what to do with it.Jenni x0 -

Yes - I have provided to bank but getting nowhere - so raised a complaint. I don't still have a relationship as paid it off over 2 years ago which has made dealing with them harder plus the bank had merged with VirginJenni_D said:Have TM given you the refund ID? TM are not at fault - they have tefunded to your card - the one you paid with.
The onus is on you to chase the bank, not TM.0
