Ocean Parking PCN & POPLA Appeal

What's the process now? - Just wait and see what happens? No obligation on you to pay the charge as a result of POPLA rejecting your appeal, so nothing for you to do unless/until Ocean (via their solicitors) issue a Letter Before Claim or you receive a Court Claim from the Northampton CCBC.Ignore any debt collection letters. The NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, fourth post, deals with debt collectors.
The NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, deals with the court process.Ocean are not noted for being litigious at present, but caveat that they have 6 years to issue proceedings. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi @Umkomaas & @Coupon-mad, just received the LBC from their solicitors CST Law.
Should I follow the same course of action as mentioned in the Newbies thread? - I.e. Send a SAR to the PPC & write to their solicitors or is there some new advice to you can provide?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Cool, thanks @KeithP
We sent an email to CST Law in response to the LBC - haven't heard anything back.
Also sent an email SAR request to the PPC with the V5C attached... Similar, no response.
That was almost 2 weeks ago... I guess we just play the waiting game now.
As always thanks for your continued advice & guidance as navigate this.0 -
A CST Law LBC wasn't a real threat of court anyway. Expect to hear nothing much.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Didn't know that re:one month SAR response... @Le_Kirk - what's the consequence if they don't?
Sorry, can you confirm what you mean by a "live claim"?
Based on the previous comment from Coupon-mad, the CST Law LBC wasn't legit so I guess we're still at the stage of just waiting until a real LBC comes through.
If that's what you mean by a live claim, then yeah I suspect the answer is no we don't.

A live claim is one where the PPC or their solicitor has started a claim via MCOL and you have received a N1 claim form from CCBC. If you do not receive a response to your SAR within the month, you report them to the ICO.1

What you have from CST is an LBLBC... or not as the case may be.1
