Yearly energy consumption (help with meter readings please)

Hi there, I'm on Southern Electric and am paying £25 a month for my electricity, but have just been hit with an £80 bill due to an "estimation", I'm pretty good when it comes to energy saving I think but don't really know how this all works.
I've just passed a year at my house and was wondering if anyone can tell me how if my consumption is good or bad, and what I can do in either case.
When we moved in to our house (28th of November 2006) my meter readings were:
Rate 1 - 02135
Rate 2 - 04361
Rate 3 - 09288
They are now:
Rate 1 - 02723
Rate 2 - 06805
Rate 3 - 11507
Sorry if I seem a bit lost, I've never really tried to look into the meter readings much. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure someone will be more help than me but just to let you know one unit on the meter is equal to one KWh of electricity used - in other words you have used 588KWh (02723-02135) of electricity at rate 1, 2,443KWh at rate 2 and 2,219 at rate 3. The problem is we're not on Econoy 7 or similar so can't be sure how each rate translates.0

I assume that consumption is on Economy 10????
If you use electricity for heating, that is very low consumption.
If you don't use electricity for heating it is about 60% above average.0 -
This is how your consumption comes out (totals in black) per annum, per quarter and per day. Does it look sensible based on all your connected devices.
Diff Annum
Diff Per Q
Differ Per Day
Rate 1-- 588
147
4.9
Rate 2---2444
611
20.37
Rate 3---2219
554.75
18.49
Totals---5252
1312.75
43.76
That seems very high average usage to me. You appear to use a lot on rate 2 & 3.
If your 2nd set of readings is the estimate then it could be meaningless anyway. So, check your meter and see how the 3 readings come out. Then deduct the 1st set by the new set on the meter and see what the difference is. How does it come out based on the above calcs?:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for all your help.
My bill seems to be very inconsistent as well so I'm just going to call them and give them the meter readings I've already posted and take it from there.
We use electricity for everything, heating, cooking, etc. Although I've not had the stored heaters on since about January (they just don't do anything...) and I've been charged quite a lot for those on the estimated bill.0
