British Gas - Zero Fixed Oct 2022 - Direct Debit more than Cash/Cheque payment

I've been on the above tariff for sometime now and just been looking at the tariff information.
I'm paying by Direct Debit and my per unit price is 20.889p/kWh.
I assumed this was the cheapest option, but looking up the tariff it says if payment is by cheque/cash then the unit price is 17.597p/kWh.
I've only got 4 months left to run, but if this is correct it would be cheaper for me to cancel the direct debit and pay manually each month.
Has anyone else noticed this ???

I do not see the problem (eastern region) ... which region are you in?

North West. Just wondering if this is likely to be a typo on their tariff sheet, or whether changing from Direct Debit to Quarterly Cash/Cheque will actually result in a lower unit price.0

What is your unit rate? Not the one on the fact sheet, the real one.0

I see the same issue for the North West region, I'd be tempted to use the chat facility and ask them what the tariff price would be if you wanted to move to 'quarterly cash of cheque' and see what they say...

The tariff letter I received when signing up says 20.889p per kWh incl VAT.pochase said:What is your unit rate? Not the one on the fact sheet, the real one.
The latest bill is showing 19.894p which when 5% VAT is added = 20.889p per kWh0 -
So you rate is the same one as the one on the fact sheet for direct debit.
Strange is that the difference between cash and DD in eastern is slightly over 1p, but over 4p in your region, apart from the fact that that cash is cheaper.0 -
Can't get any sense out of Live Chat they just keep telling me I'm currently paying something different to what I am. I remember when signing up to the tariff the nightmare that was Live ChatMWT said:I see the same issue for the North West region, I'd be tempted to use the chat facility and ask them what the tariff price would be if you wanted to move to 'quarterly cash of cheque' and see what they say...
