I have just moved into a house and the vendors have left us their CCTV.
The monitor was just left on showing the camera views and no instructions. 
I don't know how to use it at all (or even if I need to but that's another issue).
When I fiddle with the mouse I get a request for a password which I don't know. My daughter tells me I can't even do a factory reset without the password. 
Can anyone shed any light on it?

I have, via the Estate Agent, had to ask them so much I was hoping to avoid that. 
So it seems I need a keyboard to attach to it before I can go any further?

 In mine when I click the password box to type a keyboard pops up on screen

Is it connected to your network? If so, you should be able to access it via the web interface instead and therefore just use a normal PC / tablet to get into it.

Should be an ethernet connection, if it isn't already, plug it into your router and access via the IP address in your browser bar:

IP address may be different to default so scan your network or check via your router if the above default IP doesn't work.

If the default password doesn't work then do ths:

And always change that default password straight away!!!!
