Hi so I am with severn trent wster. Have always paid by dd. During covid my meter broke so rather than come out the put me on a plan to pay 20 a month until they fixed it. It still isn't fixed as I'm clinically vulnerable and still have to isolate as much as possible. ST were fine with waiting. Last nov ST took out 84 quid. I rang them they apologised refunded and said they would re set up my DD. Last month got a bill for 100 quid. Rang them and they apologised said don't worry about it as didn't owe it. I'm currently in the process of getting a mortgage and my rating dropped Checked and it was because ST had put a late payment marker. Rang ST turns out I do owe 100 as they never set up my DD, they have no clue who I spoke 2 last month. They admit the dd issue is their fault. I told them I would pay the bill but want confirmation they are removing the late payment charge off my rating as ot will effect my mortgage. Any idea what to do if they refuse to remove it? It went on my file 2 days ago

If they don't, just press on with the mortgage. One late payment isn't a big deal and your rating is of no importance.0
