I’m currently with OFTM and yes they’re not taking on any more customers. Thanks too for confirmation that the rates quoted include VAT. Octopus wins, just. Gamble on whether to bite the fixed rate bullet or not 🤷‍♀️

Wait, which tariff?  The unit rates you've been offered sound roughly like the SVT.  Unless it's a particular smart tariff (I'm much less familiar with those).  The standard fixes Octopus are currently offering are about double the unit rates you've given.

I dont know if they made an error or you got a personalised offer, take that up quickly as its way lower than whats been offered on their website.

The Octopus rates are their SVT which they call Flexible Octopus. The prices do include VAT. It isn't a fix and will go up in October.

Yes both Octopus and OFTM rates are their SVT. As you say fixed are double. Chrysalis when you say take up their offer I presume you mean Octopus?

OFTM often get bad reviews and seem to be hard to contact and difficult to deal with. Octopus generally get decent reviews, are easy to contact by phone or email.

Take your pick.

Thanks Alnat1. It seems to be a no brainer. I’m in an ongoing dispute with OFTM and have a whopping credit balance which obviously I’d like back. I just wonder if I’ll struggle even more if I’m not their customer any more but I’ll ring Octopus this afternoon.
