Will the new owners actually bother to remove the lights (is it a bluff)?
Are they competent enough / prepared to pay to take them down and put replacements up for £250?
I'd politely say house has to be in condition it was at exchange, decline their offer of £250 and remind them that if they do take them of their duties to make good.
I think when they know they can't leave loose wires and screw holes etc they won't bother.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

absolutely - as we guessed the vendors didn't understand what "included" on the F&F actually meant and are now leacing them - good luck to the OP for the move
  • Glad it's resolved. Too many people getting happiness out of stuff rather than life in this world.
All that time wasted by the vendor

Agree with some other comments. Anything ticked as 'Included' on the F&F form should be left in place. Its at that point (filling in that form fairly early in the process) that they have the opportunity to 'exclude' them (and replace with standard fitting when they leave), or advise of a cost for you to buy them if you want them.

To ask this after exchange suggests they realise they've ballsed up and are trying it on.

I's be disappointed if anything a vendor stated as 'Included' had been removed when I moved in.

Cause its a topic of discussion, more opinions and views will help others. Why so irritated?

We said 'curtains included' but took the William Morris ones from the front room and replaced them with IKEA ones. We did it before exchange though. Buyers never said anything. Will be more careful in the unlikely event of selling anything else!

Because it becomes more about the person replying than the OP.   It's tone deaf.

I find it irritating too.  I respect the OP
enough to at least check the course of the conversation.   If something is
resolved, my opinion really isn't needed.
