I was moved from Symbio to EonNext in Oct… all okay, ( well lost out on a good fixed , but so is life) got the credit balance transferred. Was having monthly bills .. correct. then account started showing debits for estimated bills ( I’m on smart meter) but no corresponding bill to download.  Got that sorted, now this month they have charged me again for 5 months of electric already billed and paid….  ( Nov- May)  ….  A mistake of over £500 .  ( well £529.70  to be exact… );

Not boasting but my eye for detail and numeracy skills are way above average, ( for those previously with symbio will recognise this when I say I always reconciled their billing system to the penny) ….. so spotted straightaway , however I do wonder how many would see the bill and just think… “ well I know bills have gone up , but must be right”

    Really impressed , they responded to my email within 30 minutes .( it took me that much time to print out all the statements, calculate and double check the numbers)

     Not so impressed  that the reply was it is right , just saying based on smart reading ( ignoring the fact they have charged twice for the same usage.  My double  checking involved start to end unit usage , day cost ( both split as two tariffs involved) and VAT., less payments made…

    again I wonder if some customers would just accept there answer

    Amazing, you make a complaint, and the same member of CS deals with it, then you escalate ( to the escalation team) and guess what , the same person replies.  Whilst Symbio had a complex system that always over estimated. EonNext have just overcharged ( not over estimated) .

    Surprised they did the estimated reading, wonder if your smart meter is not up and running on their system or they are having problems reading it.
    For me they swapped the Day and Night reading around and applied the tariffs accordingly, took me a while to get this sorted.
    I live in a mobile network blackhole and somehow the smart meter seems to work !
