Barclay cardless issue

Options
Barclay card are having (it’s been going on for at least a month) an issue with the amount you spend on cardless dropping. Chip and pin still works.

Contacted them a couple of days ago and they had ‘no idea’ what the issue is. Got a text today saying ‘they realise there is a problem and they are trying to fix it.’

Just advising in case anyone else is having similar issues,

    Cardless? Do you mean contactless?

There isn't a limit for contactless transactions but there is a value limit per transaction (£100).  Every now and then you do have to use the PIN to validate and this varies by card issuer.

I suspect the issue is just on your account because I use my Barclaycard contactless about 5-6 times a day sometimes more and I have had no issues.

There is... Which is why you have to enter your PIN every so often...

If you look at https://status.uk.barclays they state there is an issue with Contactless impacting more than just the OP

Personally not had the contactless problem that the OP has mentioned, which is probably down the the fact I use Apple Pay more than my physical Barclaycard.

It seems they are having quite a few issues based on the service checker.

    Seems about average for Barclays
