Hi, I am just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I bought a new smart tv - Toshiba 55 Inch 55UL2163DBC Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freeview TV from Argos, but I am struggling to find the best picture and sounds perfect settings, does anyone have this tv? if so, what is the best settings to have on this TV? been trying all day and it's well frustrating, I can't seem to get the right picture and sounds settings lol. I have looked on Google, but not having much luck.

At first, I had one on Tuesday last week, but it was faulty, so this is a new replacement which got delivered on Monday this week, but on the faulty one, I just had the perfect picture settings but I completely forgot what settings I had on. I should have written them down!

Any advice would be great, thank you in advance. :)

Why not try something like this https://settingsbase.com/best-picture-settings-for-toshiba-tv/ or get yourself some calibration media.

There aren't anyway. Otherwise, TVs wouldn't have various settings.

The best settings depend on your room and what you prefer. You may like a clear setting that makes everything look like a 1980's episode of Neighbours, or you may prefer a more cinematic look. Do you want strong colours, or something more muted?

Basically, you need to find your own settings.

    Trial & error works best.

Go into picture settings and find the different base settings, probs called Standard, Cinema, Gaming etc. Use one of those to make all your changes in, leaving Standard as a fall back if it goes pear shaped.

Turn the colour down to zero (monochrome) then set the brightness & contrast to get a decent mc picture. The turn up the colour till skin tones, grass etc look right to you - Wimbledon coverage is good for this esp in HD, as you get a lot of static shots of the court and long close ups of players faces during breaks, whilst you tweak it.

Additional settings like Gamma, Blackness etc are for fine tuning but once the basics are right you should be on your way. Don't forget you did it once; it's not rocket science.

On my Sony different inputs trigger different pre-defined settings - e.g. switching to HDMI2 for DVD use (when we did that) triggered the Cinema settings. And the inbuilt BBC iPlayer showing UHD is superb - watching Wimbledon yesterday was like looking through a window on to the court - but it flicks to a different preset, so you'll need to either tweak a preset to match each input, or make one that works for all and switch to that when changing inputs.
