    Some of the locals round here sell eggs from the end of their drives, usually 6 for £1. Don't buy em myself but enough people must do.

    From pretty much £1 every where locally they have mostly gone up to between £1.30 and £1.50 now

    3 paperback books for £1 in Eric's charity shop. Money goes to Macmillan's. Great bargain, great charity.

    Can get lots of entertainment for £1 around here. At our local social club I can have an evening playing crib or at book club (books loaned by library) or a morning at a singing group. Our charity shops sell 2 novels for £1. The haberdashery sale for charity at the local church was selling cross stitch kits for £1, two weeks ago. (I am not a church goer but it was advertised for all) Thats my entertainment taken care of. The bargains are there if you look for them.
