New driver insurance
Me and my daughter are both new drivers.
my plan was to buy myself a car and add her on as a named driver on my insurance.
my plan was to buy myself a car and add her on as a named driver on my insurance.
I’m old so my insurance is still significantly cheaper than hers will be!
However I can see this is likely to cause some conflict over car use and she might prefer to get her own car.
Does anyone know if there is a significant difference in cost of multi car insurance against having her as a named driver on my insurance for my car?

Yes I’d expect it to be about 90% of the cost of insuring the 2 cars separately. But just run some quotes (I would hide your details so the quotes can’t be linked back to you).Try one car once you both have 1 years clean driving (fingers crossed) things come down significantly you with your official NCB your daughter by negotiating that she has 1 years clean driving.0

I found if significantly cheap having a multi car policy with a new driver, however my own policy went up slightly and I'm not a new driver.DHUT said:Me and my daughter are both new drivers.

Sometimes.
The only way to know is run quotes. Insurance varies hugely between people and there's no rhyme of reason (well, there is but it's based of huge tranches of data). Only thing that matters is what your quotes say0 -
If you add her as a named driver, make sure you declare her as the main driver if she ends up using the car more than you to avoid fronting.0
