Do non british pay tourist tax when they visit uk

Ive recently returned from Greece and had a wonderful holiday . While checking into the hotel I was asked for an extra 60 euros as tourist tax paid directly to the hotel . I knew I was going to pay it but it now set me thinking . When our friends from Greece or similar countries pop to the uk for a holiday . Are they smashed with a uk tourist tax

That is (I believe) a local government issue.
I believe that Bath and Wales are planning to introduce one.💙💛 💔2 -
I don't think anywhere has imposed a visitor tax yet, lots of talk with Edinburgh looking likely to be the first at £2 per night. And it is not just foreign tourists that will pay it.
