A month wait to book my SEAT lease car in for a repair, do I have any rights?

I'm not familiar with car leasing - so apologies if the following is rubbish! - but it seems perfectly reasonable to me that the lessee should be responsible for servicing, "usual" running costs, and minor repairs.
However, where the car is demonstrably faulty*, surely that would be the responsibility of the lease company/finance company to sort out with the dealer?
If the car is "faulty" I'm not sure I can see how the lease company would make it the responsibility of the lessee to sort out...
* By "faulty" I mean that the car is not doing something it should do, or is doing something that it shouldn't, and this hasn't been caused by something the lessee has done. I'd also expect the lease company to provide a replacement car while the other is being fixed and the OP is paying the lease fees.0 -
You could rent something and ask them to cover the cost later when they agree it's warranty. It's a risk but they should cover it.
You can claim your excessive fossil fuel costs back too if they give you one.0 -
I decided that given all the issues especially with the brakes/grinding brake noises, that I would call for a breakdown, AA showed up 15 mins later, ran diagnostics, multiple faults (but EVs are too new with faults that are manufacturer specific so they can't tell what), explained the brake situation and all the other problems, and they followed me to the garage (same one I'm booked in at a month later) who booked it in for repair and I get a hire car on Monday (they have 48 hours to fix the issue before they have to supply one, including the weekend when they're mostly not open).I suppose I fell in the cracks where my car was in an atrocious state but was still sort of drivable and they're geared up to offer a regular repair without any urgency, or if it breaks down to get it booked in and repaired ASAP with all the bells and whistles of a hire car straight away.Lease car will probably not be an EV but they said there's a small chance. But I don't make long journeys, just small ones usually so no biggie. Thanks for the advice, problem solved.0
