if as expected the price cap does rise in October then unit costs obviously  increase- however does this also mean standing charge per day will increase?

    At the moment nobody believes that will be the case, but in the end we will only know when Ofgem announces the new cap details.

    It could increase or decrease, and the same could happen next April. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes down slightly in October, and then back up again next April.
