HL Investment Trust performance data

My main investments are not with HL, but I have a small SIPP  and ISA  with them.
Just been comparing their performance data with that of other sources, and the HL figures are always worse ( for IT's ) .
It seems that Morningstar &  Trustnet ( who I think are used as the data feed for some other platforms) use Total Return ( including reinvested dividends) but HL do not, but this is less than clear from their website. The differences can be stark . For example for TR property IT, the 3 M figure for HL is -11.38% but only -9.2% elsewhere. The 5 Y figure on HL is 13.22% , whilst being 33.3 % on Trustnet and 5.9% annualised on Morningstar.
Maybe this is well known but seems a bit odd that these figures are being presented so differently from different sources. It must be a potential source of confusion, if nothing else.

And unusual for HL to underplay anything.

For share and ITs HL seem to use the share price, certainly for their charts, with no way I have ever found to show total return

I would suggest using an independent data tool that allows the selection of Total Return (TR) so inc units will factor reinvestment in the returns data.

I was sure that for ITs the Charts and Performance page on HL showed figures for Total Return each year, but when I look now it just shows the same price information that is shown on the front page?

This is the disclaimer from HL website. You can see that they are using multiple data providers, rather than just one, so that maybe part of the issue as the price data , the charts and the dividend data are all sourced from different providers.
