E.On / E.On Next bill revisions - is anyone else having problems?

I was recently switched from E.On to E.On Next. however, just before the switch my bill was revised and I jumped from being in credit (albeit a couple of £) to being £300+ in debit overnight. 21st May in credit, 22nd May in debit.

I called E.On straight away but was told I was mid switch to E.On Next so they couldn't help. My account has now fully moved to E.On Next but they say the bill revision was while I was at E.On so they can't help. I've today tried calling the E.On complaints line but its a recorded message saying my account is with E.On Next so they can't help.

Has anyone else been stuck in this loop? All advice is very welcome

    Have you been able to download the bill? Was the old bill maybe based on estimates and the revised on based on a real meter reading?
