OP, you may be aware of this already, if you tap on the transaction in the amex app it gives further detail. This can be very useful, details can include the type of business, a website link and sometimes even a map location.1

I've been using Acemoney for years (since Microsoft stopped MS Money)lr1277 said:I once had a meal in a fast food restaurant and paid by card. The transaction took approximately 3 months to billed to (or at least appear on) my account. However I was waiting for that transaction as I had recorded it in software called Home Accountz. Unfortunately Home Accountz is no longer supported (but still available at certain sites). So I too am looking at some alternatives listed above. The name of the restaurant was shown on my statement so it was easy to reconcile.

It ticks all the boxes for me and there's a free version you can try (limited to 2 accounts though)2 -
Yes I was aware of that thanks.daivid said:OP, you may be aware of this already, if you tap on the transaction in the amex app it gives further detail. This can be very useful, details can include the type of business, a website link and sometimes even a map location.
In the case of this particular transaction there was a map location which was miles away from where it actually took place. I normally carry my mobile phone with me at all times but not on this occasion and was therefore unable to verify with my own timeline on Google Maps.
I am following up a recommendation earlier on this thread to investigate Curve as an option but note that the goal posts have only recently been changed on the free/paid for options. Also a suggestion to look at Acemoney is worth a look.0
