SB737 Store Scam?

Hi, I am after some advice. Against my better judgement I allowed my son to order an item from the SB737 store (a youtuber who plays Minecraft that the kids love). He ordered it a few weeks ago and I have emailed them asking about delivery updates but have not heard a thing back from them. It looks increasingly likely that the website and store is fraudulent. I feel really sorry for son who is really upset. What are the next steps please to raising this further if indeed the item does not arrive and we simply do not hear back from them? We have emailed them today giving them a last chance to either post the item or issue a refund. I assume it is trading standards? I really actually want to stop other young people being conned too as this is what it appears to be. Thanks in advance.

There's numerous fake stores using that name sadly

Contact your bank and ask about a chargeback
Are you certain it's the official store? Most YouTubers that have stores will link to them under their videos - if it's not that link it's probably not official. https://sb737.store is the URL under one of their videos.
If it *is* the official store, then it's less likely to be a scam and more likely to just not be run very well - it's probably dropshipped for China (it is exceedingly unlikely that the youtuber actually has any involvement in the day to day running of the store.). You could try social media - ask for an update on facebook or twitter - youtubers have a vested interest in maintaining a good image.

Clearly they aren't a professional setup and just someone trying to cash in on their 5 minutes of fame. With these types of setups they tend to have the best intentions but things get deferred to tomorrow and then the backlog gets too big to face dealing with "today" but will blast through it "tomorrow", then you realise you dont have enough stock for the orders already taken etc. Before they know it they're in a mess.
Have you checked to see if the item you ordered is still showing as available? Their site talks of other items that aren't currently showing.
Ultimately you can speak to your bank and request a chargeback for goods not received but if you give it a while longer they may well turn up

Many do burn bright but also burn fast and are conscious that if they fall out of favour there isn't much of a plan B to maintain current incomes etc and hence do need to maximise revenues whilst they are in favour. If they stay in favour then that's fantastic for them but not all do.0 -
