Earnings arrestment in Scotland
Hello all, can I kindly have some advice in relation to earnings arrestment?
I currently have an earnings arrestment on my wages. I fell into steep debt after experiencing depression which has kept me off my work.
I receive half pay from my employer however a creditor applied for and were granted an earnings arrestment.
I am wondering if it is legal for me to increase my works pension contribution and to start a share incentive plan with my work with the arrestment in place?
Both of these would come from my gross monthly income and as such would reduce my net income and the money that would be available for the arrestment.
I look forward to any comments on this matter.
kind regards
Joe
