    Thanks, Steve.
Yes, I knew that the Commerical tyre nozzles, like you have shown, will fit the existing valves (tho' I can't even find the inner valve one yet!). I suppose such a nozzle can be bought to fit on to 'straight' nozzles to convert them (yes, it's mainly for 12V pumps, but also for the one fitted to my own compressor - that's also straight), but it would be easier all round for the tyre valves to be more accessible, and ready to take anyone's pump. It would also make it easier to check the pressures on a regular basis.
That's an option, tho' - thanks.

If you cannot find the inner valves someone may have fitted the wheels incorrectly, the correct way I was taught is to have the valves opposite

Cheers - that should help me track it down!
I've just had confirmation that even the flexi type have a long pin down the centre, to do the job of operating the tyre valve. Sounds ideal.

I have experienced valves being too short, so it's impossible to measure the pressures even with the correct gauge, I brought the issue to my employers attention.
Some of our drivers don't know how to check the tyre pressures on the twin wheelers, no one shows them. The drivers, often female, don't think it's their job to check the tyres.

I found adding novelty tyre valve caps in bright lipstick colours works a treat...

(Or, to put it another way, 'ouch')
