Hello all, I'd love some advice please. ..
I bought a smart watch online and quickly realised it was faulty and within 4 hrs of receipt I'd contacted the company requesting a refund and return. They have waffled and delayed claiming their returns dept is unable to print a label for me so eventually (after several weeks) I contacted my c/c company to give them a nudge. Today I receive an email giving me a returns address but saying I have to foot the bill to post it back (and of course with delivery proof as I don't trust the font they use).
Is this right? Surely they have an obligation to refund everything as the watch is faulty and they've taken 2 months so far! Also, initially they claimed I'd only get 80% refund.
I'm at a loss and I just want my money back and wish I'd never clapped eyes on this company!
TIA

I don't think they are a UK company. The address is a mail box company... I'd guess they are what people call drop shippers.1

*If* they're a UK company covered by UK law, then no - they'd be responsible for paying for return postage, and they'd have to refund you in full.Miffy_mad2005 said:Hello all, I'd love some advice please. ..

However, that store has been mentioned in the Consumer Rights forum before and they're not a UK company. I don't recall where they are based. Theoretically, it is likely that whatever set of consumer rights law covers them, they should be offering a full refund for a faulty product - but getting that enforced (when we don't even know where they're based) would likely be challenging.1 -
Update! I've been refunded by my c/c company on the basis on my evidence and they've basically said they'll investigate them further. I'm not spending money to send it back and push comes to shove I'll post it with a 2nd class stamp and let them pay to receive it!0

Well that won’t work because you have to prove it was delivered back to them - they’ll likely just not collect it from the post office.Miffy_mad2005 said:Update!
