Can I mix Virgin for broadband, and Now for landline phone?

I have an inexpensive broadband and anytime calls landline with NowTV broadband, 6 months into a 1 year contract. However the internet is just not fast enough for my needs, so I was thinking about returning to Virgin for broadband. Thing is, to add anytime landline calls is quite expensive with Virgin. Could I run Virgin broadband, and use my NowTV landline simultaneously? Or is it all one or the other? They use seperate outlets.

Edit: A better way of putting it might be; can you have broadband and landline from seperate providers? Virgin uses the cable box on my wall, Now uses the telephone socket. So they can be physically seperated.

Virgin is totally  separate from providers like Now that use Openreach , so yes, anyone who doesn’t mind paying both providers can have service from both simultaneously

Looking forwards to when your Now tv contract comes up for renewal you may wish to consider using VOIP for your phone calls.

This would run through your Virgin router meaning you could cancel the Now tv contract. You can set it up prior to the end of the contract and retain your current landline number.

There's a one off fee for the purchase of the box to plug into the router and either a charge per minute for outgoing calls or alternatively a set amount per month for a package.

I had phone and broadband from Plusnet
I went with a WISP service so just asked PN to stop the broadband and keep the landline, so they cut off both 😡 taking our landline number of 50 years with them
Luckily BT managed to get the number back after about ten days.

Best check if Now do phone only before you leap too far.

I assumed the OP is to keep the Now service as it is ( telephony and phone ) and add an extra ( faster ) broadband from VM ( so 2 broadband services ) , I don’t think that it will be possible to cancel Now broadband without also cancelling the Now telephony at the same time, if Now is sufficiently cheap it may be cheaper than adding a phone and call plan to VM , plus should they loose the  VM service , it’s a back up for that
