Out of curiosity, why are you overpaying your mortgage, instead of say investing in a regular saver at 6/7%?
Hello, I'm not. I've got my OP fund in a seperate savings account. Pointless overpaying the mortgage at the moment as the interest is only 1.29%.

What are you planning for your garden?
First job is to put a door into the garage so it can be accessed from the garden, eventually half of the garage will be turned into a bar.

The garden needs the existing patio taking up and replacing as well as extending to the left of the garden. Then the plan is to put some artificial grass into the middle with some raised planters to the side.

     July update
Sorry for the radio silence since March. The overpayment fund has since changed to a maternity fund since finding out that I'm expecting 🥳

I'm hoping to be to be able to keep the mortgage overpayment fund totting up over the next year and a half or so, despite my earnings taking a huge hit. In terms of the money-saving I'm fully stocked up on clothes and equipment courtesy of my sister, managed to buy the pram second hand and just paid off the nursery furniture, which did put a dent in the EF, but there's very little left to buy now.

    As it stands:
    Mortgage: -£71,800
    EF: £8,600
    OP: £916

    How's everyone been doing? 🙂
