Best Value from redeeming American Express Reward Points

I've built up quite a few American Express Reward points (just short of 63,000).
What is the best value for redeeming them ? - I was thinking about Amazon vouchers but I see you can actually spend the points off any transaction you make (although not entirely sure how this work).
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I think one of the best redemption for not travellers (Head for Points would be a good site to check best conversion to Airlines/hotel schemes) is the conversion to Nectar ( MR to Avios to Nectar). If my calculation is correct, 63,000 MR could be converted in £504 to be spent in Sainsbury/Argos/Habitar. I would use this parameter as comparison vs Amex statement credit, Amazon or others1

Depends what you value... the standard exchange is 0.5p per MR but if you value high class travel it can, in theory, be much higher. Best I've had technically was about 12p per MR for a first class flight -v- the stock 0.5p for Amazon etc but do you want a 1st class flight on CathayPacific?BigBlueSky said:I've built up quite a few American Express Reward points (just short of 63,000).

Thanks for the replies. First class flights are not really what I am after, but appreciate the suggestion.
It looks like redeeming the Amex points to Avios and then onto Nectar will give me about 0.8p per MR redemption value.
This definitely seems to be the best value for me personally.0 -
Agree, unless you are already heavily invested in an airline scheme (which you need to be to get more than .8p per mile in value) then MR to Avios and Avios to Nectar is likely your best route.
