PCN (52M Failing to Comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicle (motor vehicles)

Hello All,

Some advise please, should I appeal or pay?

I received 3 penalty notices this morning, dates of offence 06/09/21 & 11/10/21 & 04/11/21

This new signage was introduced during 2021 not sure exactly which month I think it may have been June, this has been my route to work, my only issue is why has it taken them so long to issue the fine? 8-10 months after the offence do I have any lawful grounds to appeal on the length it has taken to send me these.

What's the prohibition and what vehicle were you using?

And is your lease vehicle prohibited by that sign?

You'll the correct help quicker by providing full details as not many members have a crystal ball.

No vehicles allowed (often has an exception for access).

Sometimes erected to stop rat running by commuters!

Which is their get out of jail free card for serving notice in a timely manner if it was needed.

No, it's no motor vehicles. Pushbikes and horse-drawn carts are allowed.

It does seem a random selection of dates, assuming it's a fixed camera catching them?

There is one of these near me which I have cycled through quite a few times, no cameras so I assume random checks every so often. Looks like once a month on the OP’s route.

Even worse lack of observational skills if they've missed the signs every day, don't query why nobody else is driving that way, and also didn't wonder what the mobile camera van was doing...
