Is this qoute for hedge cutting & clearance of trimmings fair ?

My mother lives in a large detached property with a lot of hedges right around the house that need cutting

They can probably all be done in one day (including clearance  of trimmings) as long as the person doing them is a efficient & hard working

My mother wants the trimmings removed or mulched as the amount of trimmings will easily exceed the capacity of her 2 green bins

So far we have been quoted £360 fixed price
And also £300 but only if he can do the job in one day - he would charge more if he had to come back a second day

Previously we had an odd job handyman (now sadly unavailable) who did the job for £100 last year but my mother says she cannot remember what he did with all the trimmings - given the price I strongly suspect he did not take them away

Can anybody advise if the £300+ figures are fair

Dependant on the size of the hedges then £250 to £300+ seems fairly reasonable to me. I have a couple of 7-8 foot hedges on either side of my back garden of about 30 foot in length and it's a fairly big job to cut them, even with decent hedge trimmers. It takes me half a day to do them but then I'm still left to clear up afterwards and dispose of the cuttings.
