Eon Next electricity charges

Every month I reconcile my utility bills on a spreadsheet. Since switching to Eon Next last year, I've noticed that my calculations are nearly always 1p out (in either direction). Recently I decided to investigate, thinking I would find it was just the effect of numbers being rounded.
For example, the rate per kWh is 18.528p/kWh, but 18.53p is shown on the calculation of the cost. On one statement the 193kWh used is shown as costing £35.75, where 193 x 18.53 = 3576.29, or £35.76. Even if 18.528 is used, the result is 3575.904, which is still £35.76 when rounded. They're not just truncating it either, as others do appear to be rounded.
When I asked them for an explanation, the reply I got was as follows:
The reason we round up on some and down on others is to average this out over the yeas so your not paying more than you should be over the year.
The total charge for electricity over the 9 months I've been with them does indeed calculate out correctly, it's just a minor irritation I have to adjust my monthly calculations to match theirs!
There's probably some way to modify my spreadsheet formulae to exactly match what their computer does. Anyone any ideas?

To be honest, I ignore the odd penny difference between my spreadsheet and the E.ON Next bill. On my most recent statement 265.1kWh @ 26.69p/kWh is shown as £70.74. Spreadsheet calculates £70.75519, which when rounded to 2 decimal places gives £70.76. I managed to get it to £70.74 with formula =ROUND((IB3*IB11)-0.02,2) where IB3 is the kWh and IB11 is £/kWh 0.2669.

So do I really. Just started to bug me that I have to make the penny adjustment almost every month. I've tried rounding and truncating the numbers at every point in the calculation (applies to gas as well), but can never exactly match their numbers with any sort of consistency. Gives me something to tinker with in my spreadsheet when I'm bored! :)

Richard Prior is at it again stowing away all those fractions of pennies.

More likely to be a Lada because he gives back as much as he takes!

When I was receiving FIT payments from SSE they rounded down at every stage of the calculations. After 2 years I was about 30p out of pocket.

After 9 months, Eon Next are only 1p ahead for me, so I can live with that.
Of course, how they average the gas calorific value over each billing period could be questioned, but many years back, when I was with the old Eon, they used 39.2 over a 3 month period when the average for my area was 39.47. No idea how this new Eon outfit do it, and it's not quite as easy to grab the figures from the National Grid these days as it was way back then. OMG, it was 2010!
Remember the days when there used to be really good Eon reps on this forum?

I kept getting the 1p differences and modified the various formulae to suit.  Next time it was out again.  Gave up and accepted it.
Never really had any problems with CVs being out apart from on my Zog final bill.
