On Saturday we will be coming north on the A46 to Coventry then continuing north on M69 with our car and caravan. I was hoping to take a break on the M69 but there don't appear to be any services till the M1. Any suggestions?

The M69 is only a few miles long and Leicester Forest services are at the eastern end. Alternatively Fosse Park shopping centre is just off junction 21 of the M1.1

Call in at Binley Mega Chippy.1

Thanks but I was hoping there would be somewhere before the M1 services. We come up the A429 which has no services and after nearly 2 hours driving join the A46 near where it crosses the M40, from there it is nearly another hour to the Leicester Forest services where we have stopped before so was hoping that we could stop sooner.0

There’s loads of options just off the A46 as it goes round Coventy, depends on what you need, there’s ASDA, Tescos and Morrisons. Costas or pubs, for something different Coombe Abbey Country park.1

Google "Off the motorway".Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Thanks for ideas, journey now done, stopped at a BP garage, no room for caravan so pulled into the side of the road and walked back to it. Would have tried the shopping centre but we only saw it after the turn off!0

You’ve done it now but if you do it again here’s a tip.
Get off the M69 at J1 and follow the signs to Burbage and find The Cross Keys, opposite St Catherine’s church. Lovely food, nice beer. From there carry on towards Hinckley and follow the M69 signs to get back on it at J2. If you need fuel there’s a fuel stop just before you hit Hinckley, next to a Tesco Metro if you prefer a sandwich etc.
Edit. The M69 is only 16 miles long, that’s 15 minutes driving at motorway speeds and only 5 mins more with a caravan. By the time you’ve diverted off to find somewhere you may as well carry on to Fosse Park or LFE.1
