It's over 30 days, no sign of the salesman bothering to get in touch and when I get in touch with him, he ignores my questions and says, let me look into for you.....guess what.....nothing, zilch, nada. Looks like this is the way it's gonna be and I'm not gonna get the key. All over me, can't correspond enough until I've bought the car. What a disgrace.

I asked the finance company to help me and they raised a complaint which they don't have a time limit for. WHAT?

I have it in writing that this key will be sorted. If I want to add a named driver, I don't have the key, if I want a service or MOT which is part of a deal with them I have to give my only key which can suddenly disappear if repairs and money is involved.

I like this car.....I just want that key that was meant to be part of the sale. They haven't finished the process of selling the car. Who is best to go to when they're ignoring me and not responding to my queries anymore?

Get a key by paying for it and then go via moneyclaimonline to reclaim the costs.

Are you worried that they'll hold the key to ransom if you don't want to pay a bill? Because they'll have the whole car at that point anyway and no matter how many keys you have they could (a) just block it in and (b) take you to court for the bill.

Not that you shouldn't get a 2nd key anyway; it'll make life a lot easier and will save you a fortune should the existing key fail or get lost.

Have you actually gone into the dealership to speak to the manager about it?

This x1000 - suspect you'll find that the issue will be resolved very quickly

A lot depends on what type of dealer - main, supermarket or local

How does not having a second key prevent you adding a named driver to your insurance/
